Bitcoin Mining Pool

Who are we?

BitClockers.com is a Bitcoin mining pool. BC was founded by overclockers; Overclocking is our passion and now it finally pays off! As you may already know, overclocking your graphics cards can boost performance in games. Similarly, overclocking will also allow you to mine more Bitcoins than anyone else with the same videocard; especially when done properly. Fortunately, the folks here at BitClockers are willing to help get you started. We have forums and live chat where fellow users and admins are available to help with any questions you might have. Get started mining bitcoins with us today!

What are Bitcoins?

How do I get bitcoins for free?

Well, bitcoin mining isn't entirely free - you had to buy your video card at some point, and you have to pay for the electricity. Check out the Bitcoin Mining Profitability Calculator to find out how much BTC you can earn with your computer!

What is the best way to mine?

You can either mine on your own or with a group of fellow miners. Mining on your own with a single videocard that generates a respectable 200 Mhash/s will take over 45 weeks running 24/7 to get the 50 bitcoin prize. However, by pooling your resources with the other users of BitClockers we can generate blocks much faster and thus pay you for each valid share contributed by your video cards. You can request your bitcoins immediately from the pool and spend them how you wish, or set an auto pay to trigger at a certain amount; its up to you! Currently, users can withdraw their bitcoin balance instantly up to 10 times a day. Check out the Getting Started page and turn those wasted extra GPU cycles into $$$!

How does pooled mining work?

Users can register accounts with the BitClockers Pool Server through the website Dashboard. They can then connect programs called Miners to the Pool Server. The pool takes a block, the thing that currently makes up 50 Bitcoins, and splits it into small work units called Shares. The BitClockers Pool Server then gives out the Shares to each of the pool's miners. The miners complete their shares and return the work back to the BitClockers Pool Server. The Pool then checks to make sure that the work is valid and credits the miner for its work. The pool is currently in Pay-Per-Share mode and 8% of BTC generated is kept by the pool to pay for contests, equipment, and bandwidth expenses.
