Author Topic: Whats up with these 3.5 million blocks? (Read 2005 times)

Hello fellow BitMiners.Just wondering about these very long blocks,is this what happens when the difficulty goes up or we just in a bad patch.Is it still possible to "get lucky" and solve one in 300k still?
Looks like I need more hash power.

Bad streak of luck... Its entirely possible to find a block in less than 100K shares.

I have seen last night a status message in my guiminer which said, that a new block received. I thought that mean´s a new block was found. But now we are short to 6 million.

with the difficulty at 1379192.2882281 and the pool doing about 100 Gh/s (100,000 Mh/s) we should expect to find about 10 blocks per week - if I read the mining calculator correctly... looks like a streak of bad luck. But who knows, maybe we find another 3 tomorrow

Ahhh son of a... The last block I was a part of was the 6M one, right before I had to pack up and move. Now I get back and get everything set up, waiting for a stable internet connection and a good few fast blocks go by.. ahh well!

Time to join the force again! I will say that the fast blocks have renewed my faith with the increased difficulty and bitcoin market value going down a bit. At least I can still make coins!

Seems we have a good bump in the pool hash rate too, we might hit 200Ghash in the coming weeks.

Good to see you made the move ok! that 6M block was a tough one but I have a feeling we paid our dues with that one and some smaller blocks are due
