I gotta say I didn't buy into any of this at first, but those of you who have been mining here a long time, try a pplns pool, I tried triplemining and I've made .55btc in 3 days of mining there on a 350~ Mhash oc'd 5850 which is roughly double what I've been making here even on good days. I don't know if what that p4man is true, but at this point the grass does seem greener. Even if you're still loyal to bitclockers, just give it a try and check your yield against your current gains. When I started mining last year I was getting .7btc/day here and .4 from deepbit on average so this place seemed awesome, I don't know if it's because of increased difficulty or what but with pplns I seem to be getting far more yield out of my rig now.

P4man, you've provided an excellent analysis, I appreciate the research and links you’ve provided… It really bothersome how BitClockers manipulates their stats –misleadingly all clients (hoppers and committed miners alike). Given that bottom line is; you have to trust the pool operators. Period. I agree with Vatigu, I’ve always done very well mining at BitClockers, but fabricating round statistics really pisses me off –especially given that specific ‘countermeasure’ is ineffective. Another worrisome concern is V2/Backburns reluctance to quash all the rumors on bitcointalk and irc, I’ve tried countless times to engage V2 via #bitclockers… Again P4man excellent analysis, many thanx.

"It just looks like their block faking algorithm is "catching up" and reporting all the blocks they didnt pay previously."

The short blocks (653-658) were found prior to pps migration, way to bone us again V2 *sigh*

Since they moved to PPS, it shouldnt matter anymore, but it does prove what Ive claimed before, that they were faking their stats and stealing from their miners (hoppers and non hoppers alike). Thats reason enough for me to avoid this pool like the plague, even if they offered zero % fee PPS now.

Which of course they dont.

To be fair, the new 8% fees is not entirely unreasonable for a PPS pool (even at those rates it could bankrupt them with a long unlucky streak), but I cant see why anyone would prefer this over other PPS pools that offer lower fees (Mt red is even zero percent and also PPS!), or even more so, accept some variability to get zero fees merged mining and even get paid transaction fess on PPLNS pools like Bitminter. If you dont do it for the higher mining revenue, then Id do it for the honest pool ops.

63 hours 44 minutes regarding unlucky streak... for BitClockers sake i sure hope there're not reporting accurately still... couple more blocks like that, and we'll see migration away from PPS
